SAFETY NOTICE FOR ARJO HOIST

A Medical Device Alert (MDA) has been issued for Arjo Maxilift patient hoists manufactured by Arjo Med AB Ltd. According to the MHRA, the MDA has been issued due to corrosion and fatigue of the roll pin on certain designs of hoists causing the hanger bar to detach from the jib.

Nursing beds sold throughout Europe are now to meet another standard. IEC60601-2-52. Leading European manufacturers are already ensuring that their beds pass the new tests which will ultimately eliminate real risks of patient injury in the community.

The Medica Fair at Düsseldorf, Germany

This week we will be visiting the Medica Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. The ninth biggest city in Germany hosts the 40th anniversary of the world's largest trade fair which this year aims to attract a new record number of exhibitors. More than two thirds of the 4,313 companies expected to be present will come from destinations outside of Germany. This visit will enable GN Healthcare to explore international healthcare markets and to help with our continued company research and development.
