Decontamination

GN Healthcare, being a division of GN systems Ltd, has been successfully operating in the area of decontamination for many years, supplying a nationally approved service to providers of care in the community.

We have recently opened a new ‘state of the art’ cleaning and decontamination centre at our premises in Bolton. This facility has been designed to operate within all the requirements of current Health Service Guidelines, as well as the requirements specified by the British Healthcare Trades Association.

All types of care equipment can be catered for including pressure care systems, hoists, seating systems and the like. All operations are carried out under stringent infection control procedures with monitoring by an independent microbiological consultant. Certification of audit of the facility is maintained and is available on request.

Each operation of our washing process can be closely monitored and temperatures of the washing machine & dryer are randomly tested to ensure we are cleaning above 71° for more than 3 minutes thermal disinfection. All “cleaned” equipment is certified by date & operative and each item is then sealed in a clear bag prior to dispatch.

Equipment for decontamination can be collected by our own van service, by courier, or can be delivered to the centre by the user. We fully understand the requirement to keep expensive equipment in full usage so we offer a prompt turnaround service. Where equipment requires extended repair a rental system can be offered to cover the ‘down’ period.
